Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP)
Coastal Horizons offers an enhanced treatment service called IOP. It's an intensive outpatient program for people ages 18 years old and older with a primary substance use diagnosis. IOP is a 12 week program consisting of group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy and case management to link clients with community resources. It is offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 3 hours each day. CHC offers a morning and evening IOP program to fit the needs of our client’s schedules. Contact your local CHC office to find out available IOP hours.
Topics addressed in IOP include relapse prevention planning, mental health issues, wellness, family roles, emotion regulation, and communication skills. Transportation incentives are also provided for our IOP clients in order to assist them with getting to treatment. We are dedicated to addressing any barriers you may have to treatment. Overall, IOP outcomes show that clients report that they have started attending more support meetings such as AA or NA, report a decrease in substance use, and report an increased satisfaction with their recovery by the end of their IOP time.
If you would like more information on CHC’s IOP program, please contact the IOP Supervisor at 910-343-0145 or complete our IOP referral form.
Horizons Housing is a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funded program which provides permanent supportive housing for homeless clients who are actively participating in Coastal Horizons Center's Opioid Treatment Program.
